King property access: distinguish road frontage from a working area

A long frontage does not necessarily provide a usable place for demolition deliveries or material collection. On a property reached by a private lane, describe the route all the way from the public road to the intended work area.

Map decisions along the route

Show where vehicles leave the public road, where they can wait on the property and where they could turn without entering a retained garden or unassessed surface. Record a bridge, culvert or buried structure as a feature requiring review; do not estimate its capacity from a photograph.

Name the party controlling each segment

The road authority, property owner and any person controlling a shared lane may each need to answer a different question. Access permission for a site visit is not automatically permission for repeated heavy vehicle movements. Confirm the intended use before scheduling machinery.

  • Identify any shared access agreement to be reviewed.
  • Mark waiting positions that do not obstruct the public road.
  • Flag load-sensitive features without proposing a crossing method.

Before asking for an assessment

For the estimate, give the civic address, access sketch and unresolved route questions. Steelpoint will need to assess whether the proposed equipment and collection arrangements fit the site. Do not arrange off-property staging on the assumption that a nearby open area is available.
