Salon and spa strip-out before a new business fit-out

Moving salon stations changes more than furniture.

Moving salon stations changes more than furniture. Mirrors, fixed cupboards, partitions and wet-service positions can each create a different removal boundary. Start with the new station layout so a decorative refresh does not accidentally become an instruction to remove useful rooms or connected equipment.

ProposalOrdinary interior question
Keep stations, renew appearanceWhich mirrors, fixed joinery and finish layers leave?
Move washing positionsWhat building finishes change after the responsible trades define their work?
Change the business layoutWhich room boundaries and counters conflict with the incoming plan?

The new operator and designer decide the functions and layout. Steelpoint's commercial strip-out service assesses the resulting ordinary removal; it does not provide plumbing design or certify equipment for reuse.

Separate attached fit-out from business assets

List loose furniture, leased machines and supplier-owned installations outside the assumed demolition inventory. For each connected station, identify who handles equipment and who prepares services. A fixture's attachment to a wall does not settle its ownership or technical responsibility.

Medical-spa equipment, lasers and chemical-treatment installations require their own specialist decisions. This guide concerns ordinary commercial interiors and does not offer those services.

Look behind the new layout

Moving basins can affect finishes on both sides of a partition and the receiving floor condition. The trades establish the service changes; the demolition assessment identifies the ordinary layers and edges that need to leave. Repairs, new plumbing and final surfaces remain separate work.

In an illustrative salon renewal, the reception and most stations stay while a reviewed washing area moves. The useful removal package is concentrated around the old wet area and the new layout's obstructions. A full reset would need a separate inventory, not simply a wider version of that instruction.

Give the next installer a defined surface

Agree the removal limits around retained mirrors, cabinets and flooring. No intact salvage or finish-performance guarantee should be assumed. Where floor finishes are the main change, consult the floor-covering service.

Request an assessment with the property location, station plan, retained components and the fit-out or trade contacts. Explain the actual room changes and any unresolved connected-equipment responsibilities.
